Part #942178 uses a curved belt tension-adjusting Bracket and, the Generator front-plate bolt orientation is 12 & 6 o’clock.
The voltage regulator and generator must be from the same manufacturer, i.e., Autolite Generator & Autolite Regulator DO NOT MIX MANUFACTURERS!
If converting to 12 VOLTS, it is NOT necessary to install an Alternator. Install a 12-VOLT Generator, a Regulator, Ignition Coil, Battery, all bulbs, and an Instrument Cluster Voltage Regulator.
